Our recomended marketing approach
We recommend targeting the first page (first result) of google, on a medium traffic keyword (explained under the keywords page). This is because once you are on google, other search engines will add your site to their first page too. We do this through backlinks- links to your site on others with a short description of your site. The links can be directory postings, blog comments, ect.
How does it work?
Once other sites have your links, google will see your link and add it to google. As you get more and more links, google will see your site and begin to rank it- really far back in the results. Don't worry- keep adding links to get your site to the first page of google, as each link will slightly increase your rankings.
Before you Link
Before you start linking, you will need a 200 letter description of your site that includes its keywords, as well as a shorter description (10-20 words). Also, your site should to be finished, and fully functional.

Here are some ways to get your backlinks
Directories- offer a full description of your site in their link. Only place where you use your 200 letter description. Here is a directory list: http://www.directorymaximizer.com/seo-friendly-directories.php?pageNum_directory_list=0
Blogs-
Search for blogs that are related to your site, and post your link on them.
Note- the best blogs for links are ones that you click once from google, and
then can post your response from that page. Also, try to go for PR links on
blogs (shown on google toolbar). Be sure to write a relevant response, not an
add about your site. They will usually have a link section under your
name/email. If not, 2 lines under your last word, write: The owner of (your
domain).
Forums- Get your link into google fast. Make sure you find one
with a signature that can include links so you can add your link and its two
keywords like this: greenmowers.org green mower green mowers. Then respond to as
many posts as possible! Note- Find a very popular forum. I use http://forums.digitalpoint.com/
Twitter: Check out our page on this! It is an easy way to build tons of backlinks.
Make sure you
alternate between all three of these link strategies. If you want, you can pay
for directory submissions (or other programs) to speed up the process. However, YOU can do it for
free!
