Affiliates: The Key to Success (for most sites)


    Unless if you are selling anything to your visitors, you need to go this rout. Affiliates give you a percentage of their earnings, in exchange for clicks (PPC), referrals, and referred customers. Perhaps the best, and most popular, way of doing this is through PPC. This means that you sign up for a program, and put an ad on your site. Every time some one clicks it, you get paid. Some of the better programs out there are Google Adsense and Click Bank. Just search for them, read their T&C, sign up, and post their html code to your site.     However, if you want to go another rout, Commission Junction, Ebay, and Amazon are all good places to check out. Just remember, though, you need some one to actually BUY something, which usually takes a lot more work/persuasion to do. However, some webmasters (which may include you) are good at those types of things.

If you are selling your own product...


    If you are selling a good/service, try to focus on customer reviews. If you streamline your product, then you can (and should) receive more sales. Perhaps you should open up a store on a "trusted" website, such as Ebay, to prove that your product is not a scam. Other than that, you have to focus on turning your visitors into sales. Try posting some informational videos, as well as articles, about your product. Maybe even offer discounts. It's up to you in the end!
